Salvation Army is doing a school supply drive this summer with items to be distributed on August 6th & 13th. Donations can be dropped off here at church in either the Fellowship Hall or the Narthex: look for the yellow bus! Please make checks payable to The Salvation Army of Lake County with a note designating Back to School Supply Bash 2022. Written by Jennie Lee Riddle. She adapted the lyrics from Revelation 4 and Ezekiel 1:26-28. After having a really tough “mommy” day she could hear the Holy Spirit calling her. So she sat her son down to play with his toys and picked up her guitar and played four chords that she learned the night before. And out came the song. Jennie said “it had the sound of Heaven in it.”

Highlight History: O Come to the Altar is a song by American worship group Elevation Worship. It was released on February 24, 2017, as the lead single from their fifth live album, Here as in Heaven (2016). The song was written by Chris Brown, Mack Brock, Steven Furtick, and Wade Joye. The song peaked at No. 2 on the Hot Christian Songs chart, their highest-charting entry. This song is an invitation for all who are broken, weary, and overwhelmed by sin to leave their regrets and mistakes by turning to the altar. Forgiveness came at the cost of the blood of Jesus. Jesus rose from the dead. Those who are forgiven may worship Jesus, bear their cross, and tell others about Him.
