DINNER BY CANDLELIGHT BOOK LAUNCH PARTY
Friday, October 20
7:00 p.m. in the Gallery
As we get older, there are challenges as we prepare for Christmas: elderly parents, adult children out of town or loss of relationships. Mentor United Methodist Women is sponsoring an evening with author Kevin Louise Schaner as she launches her Advent devotional Dinner by Candlelight: Comfort and Joy for Advent. This book of twenty-nine essays offers a renewed sense of Hope, Love, Joy and Peace as we consider that even though how we celebrate Christmas may change, the Joy of Christ is the same.
A retired Mentor Public Schools librarian, Kevin is a writer and a speaker. She has traveled to five continents with Volunteer in Mission teams with the United Methodist Church (including trips to Camphor Mission Station, Liberia) and has also been a part of several Ubuntu Journey mission trips with United Methodist Women.
Join us for an inspirational evening as Kevin shares some of her story behind the book and reads a few selections. Light refreshments will be served, and there will be a chance to meet and greet Kevin. This event is free and open to all. Dinner by Candlelight books will be available for purchase ($12 cash or check), and Kevin will be available to sign copies.
Please RSVP to Carole Ring at firstname.lastname@example.org or 440-255-7213 by October 17.
