Post Secondary Scholarship

January 29, 2021
We want to let the high school seniors, all students enrolled in an accredited vocational school, university, college, undergraduate program, or enrolled in seminary, know that we are still planning on awarding scholarships this year.

Since some students were having some issues with the old format, we decided to try a new format using Google Forms.  You do not have to fill out the form at one time, but you will have to go back in through the link that it sends you, or you will have to start all over again.  The letters of recommendation on school letterhead and official transcripts will be emailed to and also follow the instructions on the Google Form. On all emails the subject line must read “MUMC Scholarship and (student’s name)”. The deadline is still Friday, April 9, by 3:30 PM that everything needs to be submitted. We are looking forward to your application! Stay safe and God bless. - Tami White

The Scholarship Committee is pleased to offer Mentor UMC scholarships for both vocational and academic post-secondary pursuits.

Scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors graduating in 2021, current undergraduate college and vocational students, as well as seminary students. The student applying must be a member of Mentor United Methodist Church (as of April 30, 2020) and meet all other eligibility requirements. If you were confirmed at MUMC, you are a member. If you took the BASICS classes and joined the church as an older student, you are a member. For questions about your membership, please contact the church office at (440) 255-3496.  You will need to submit the Google form and make sure you have informed your school and person writing your letter of recommendation that the deadline is April 9, 2021, at 3:30 PM.
