The Mentor United Methodist Preschool began in 1967 as the Mentor United Methodist Nursery School when Miss Mae Booth canvassed church families with young children to see if there was a need for a nursery school.  With the results of the survey, the Commission on Education established a nursery school consisting of two classes in the fall of 1967.
