March 22, 2020

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As news of the pandemic continues to impact all of us, we encourage you to continue to walk with Jesus.  God is faithful!  As we journey through Lent, our spiritual disciplines will help us discover the depth of God’s love for us revealed in Jesus! Remember to pray, fast, read scripture, give, worship, and find ways to serve.

At this time, all activities at our church facility have been cancelled or postponed through April.  Our office will remain open to answer the phone, and be a resource to you. We will keep you posted if the hours are adjusted.

Worship services at our facility are cancelled for Sunday, March 22, 2020.  Be sure to tune in and worship with us on Facebook or our website, live-streaming at 9 and 11 AM.  Follow our church app for up-to-date information, as well as ways to grow in your faith.

We will keep you posted regarding details for future Sundays, however, it is likely we will not be meeting together for several weeks.  We support CDC recommendations to limit our physical contact with others.  PLEASE PHYSICALLY DISTANCE YOURSELF FROM OTHERS.  The more we do in limiting contact with others, the less impact the virus will have on all of us.  And, the sooner we can be back together. STAY WELL AND SAFE!  It is a challenging time for all of us.  Please reach out to us if you have a concern or need or a celebration to share.  We are available to you!

Remember: We are still the Church!

Even if we cannot meet together in person, we are developing plans to assure that we can worship, have access to family activities, and care for congregational needs. Do not stop your connections!

Please let the church office know:
If you have a need we can perhaps assist you to handle.
If you are willing to assist with well-check phone calls.
If you are willing to assist with grocery or pharmacy pick-up.
If you are willing to assist with our Community Meal on March 28.  We do not know for
certain, but we hope that we will still be able to provide something for those who rely upon us.  This will involve preparing the food – and handing it out per drive-up service.

Please continue to financially support our ministry – because we are still the church!  You can give online or mail your contributions. Click this link for online giving www.mentorumc.org/onlinegiving. The address for mail is 8600 Mentor Ave., Mentor, Ohio, 44060.

Now is the time to watch for God’s grace to be at work.  And, be those who extend God’s grace to others.
The world is watching … and we are striving to trust and honor Christ together!

Remember you are loved!

  Pastor Sondra and Pastor Quincy
